Hi, my name is Joe Karam.

I’m a designer/engineer who thrives at the intersection of art and science, where creativity meets logic, and ideas take physical form.

My journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Chico, where I developed a deep understanding of how things work, from mechanisms to materials. That foundation evolved further at the Pennsylvania State University, where I earned a Master’s in Engineering Design, focusing on product realization and human-centered innovation.

My background has allowed me to explore everything from conceptual sketches to complex 3D modeling, blending functionality with form to create meaningful products. I’m fascinated by how design can solve real-world problems, whether it’s improving daily interactions, rethinking user experience, or crafting products that truly resonate with their intended users. For me, great design is about understanding people and making sure every product serves both purpose and emotion.

I’m endlessly curious, constantly exploring new tools, materials, and techniques, while searching for everyday problems worth solving or fun ideas worth bringing to life. Whether it’s a practical solution or a playful concept, I find joy in designing and producing products that connect people to ideas, emotions, and experiences in thoughtful, lasting ways.
